Finding support starts with understanding your options. IDAHM Wellness offers individual, couple and family, geriatric and postpartum counselling in Koorkenchery, Thrissur. Sessions are by appointment only, in Malayalam, Tamil and English.
A psychologist handles enquiries between 10 am and 10 pm. These are enquiry hours, not walk-in or guaranteed session hours. Your appointment is confirmed after you agree a time with IDAHM.

- Individual counselling
- Support for adults experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, trauma or adjustment difficulties, and for children facing academic, behavioural or emotional concerns.
- Couple and family counselling
- Guidance with relationship conflicts, communication and adjustment difficulties, developed around the needs of those attending.
- Geriatric counselling
- Emotional support for older adults facing loneliness and age-related changes, and guidance for caregivers and families of people living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Postpartum counselling
- Support for new mothers and fathers adjusting to parenthood, with psychoeducation for family members.

What to expect at your first appointment
Sessions last one hour. Your practitioner will discuss your concerns and case history, then work with you on an individual counselling plan. You can ask questions about the approach and fees before confirming. Fees vary with the mode of service.
Counselling follows a respectful, non-judgmental approach. Confidentiality has limits where disclosure is necessary to protect someone from serious harm, in life-threatening situations, or in cases involving child abuse, in line with applicable legal and ethical requirements.

Online counselling and eligibility
Video counselling is offered to eligible Malayalis in India and abroad, subject to suitability and local requirements. Online sessions are not offered to children under 16 or older adults. Please discuss in-person options with the team instead.
